This could very well be my FAVORITE I have ever done on myself. Just loved it……..and now I think I’ll need to actually see the movie. I haven’t!!!!! How crazy is that????? It was a dark and stormy night…it probably wasn’t but doesn’t that sound good??? My parents had left my older twin brothers to babysit me and my younger brother while they headed out on a date. We were told to go to bed and the older two could stay up and watch a movie. My bedroom shared a wall with the living room and I heard every sound, every word, every straaaange word. I couldn’t take it anymore. I had to know what they were watching. The army crawl seemed appropriate. I got out of bed and tried to make the armed forces proud as I made my way to the doorframe (can you just see my dramatic 8 year old self assuming someone would spot me in my own bedroom? 😂) As I rounded the corner I saw the most disturbing, colorful and mind twisting images (thank you Tim Burton). Beetlejuice had just risen from the grave and I was officially traumatized. I think it’s hilarious now but the dinner party scene? Horrifying to a child. The claymation? Twisted!!! And this week we will share it with our oldest sons 😂. The circle of life my friends. I love that this year they have seen me transform into the weirdest characters and now they’ll understand where they came from. Like Harry the Hunter here who we meet as he forever sits in the afterlife waiting room. I used and old scout shirt, towels to prop it up around my shoulders and dollar store ping pong balls cut in half. My husband drilled timy holes in them so I could still see….somewhat 😂. Ladies and the three gentlemen that follow me….welcome to BEETLEJUICE WEEK!!!!!!!!!💚❤💚❤💚

Sid was “that kid” we knew in elementary school. Every class had one. That tough persona, the one who blew things up and was terrible to his siblings and everyone around him. This creation cane from that straaaange imagination of his 😂. Was anyone else terrified by this baby after watching the first Toy Story??? I was an ADULT and I totally was 😂😂😂. Thanks to @amytwatts for being such a good sport as I sprayed, taped and glued my way into this look 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. Mo Creations is the GENIUS behind the device she is wearing. Benson….not Slappy, even though he looks like him 😂! Benson and his crew were sooooooo creepy in this movie. There’s something about characters that are sinister and can’t speak. Anyone watch Buffy and remember the gentlemen????? I had nightmares for DAYZZZZ!!!!! Here are some fun facts about Benson:
The idea of a ventriloquist dummy character was inspired by the original concept of Woody, who was originally designed to be a dummy.
They resemble Slappy the Dummy from the Goosebumps franchise, specifically the movie version of the character.
The Bensons walk irregularly due to dummies requiring a human hand to keep them upright.

Girl power much??? Bo Peep was such a signature character. A staple! I was heartbroken when they eluded to her leaving the series. That look on Woody’s face! 😭 I was SO happy that they found each other again in this last movie….but….I have to say at first I was a little ruffled with how she was to Woody. It’s never sat well with me when people brag, “I tell it like it is. I speak my mind. I am brutally honest.” Because to me, these are excuses or justifications for being down right hurtful sometimes. Dooooon’t get me wrong, I think everyone should be able to say what they are feeling, to be honest, to clarify thought but it take a STRONG person to not take advantage of their own power and be able to convey honesty beautifully. To speak their mind with conviction without being nasty. That takes training, that takes self mastery, that is the person I hope to one day be. And THAT to me isn’t just girl power, it’s divine power. To become more like the person I follow and that He meant me to be. In an emergency, you better believe I’m barking orders and being downright blunt 😂. This morning Branson spilled a green chunky smoothie ALL over the cabinetry and floor……it was tense 🙈. When Bo tells him to get out of her way I felt so badly for him. He was messing things up a bit but he wanted so badly to be a knight in shining armor to her and help. I don’t think it makes me any less of a woman to look at my hubs as my knight and want him to save me every now and then. I save him on the regular too 🥰. I love my husband, I love my friends. They bring SO much to my life and pick up the slack in areas I’m lacking. I do the same for them. It makes me stronger to have others that I rely on. It teaches me patience, humility, how to love unselfishly, how to listen, how to ask for help and give them opportunities to grow by serving. We DO need each other! We are not meant to be solo….that’s VOLDERMORT’S plan!!!!! Don’t let him win!!!!! This Bo Peep is the most beautiful out there! @houseofsmithsdid an AMAZING job with hair cuz heaven knows I can’t 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. Tell me your thoughts on brutal honesty vs beautiful honesty.
Yodel-Ay-Hee-Hoo!!!!!!! Oh my word LOOK at that cute Jesse!!! 😍😍😍 Can we talk about the fact that Emberly’s mouth is CLOSED?!?!?! It’s closed!!!!! After Darla this was my second attempt at drawing a mouth over an existing closed mouth. I felt so bad for Em when we were nearing the end of just the mouth portion. I just kept staring at it….then that feeling sunk in. I have to wipe a good portion of it off and start again. YOU GUYS!!!!! How many times have you just said, “It’s good enough, whatever.”???? I have said that SO many times!!!!!!! If I would have said that this time, not admitting to her and myself that it needed to be fixed, I would have missed out on the MANIACAL GIGGLE!!!! For those of you new here the maniacal giggle is the sound that creeps under the door of my makeup room anytime I am just SO pleased with how something has turned out 😂😂😂. My family knows it well! I am SO stinking happy with this mouth and for the freedom I felt in fixing it. I am a makeup artist. I have been for YEARS! But I’m allowed to say, I don’t know. Or I am not good at that technique. It’s freeing!!!!! Doesn’t mean I don’t keep trying to do liquid winged liner though….one day, one day I’ll get it 🙈🙈🙈😂😂😂. Now, who is your favorite Toy Story character and WHY? Welcome to Toy Story week!!!!! We are starting with the latest installment. Did ANYone else totally cry????? I did, I may have sobbed. Just soooo many years together and then GOODBYE??? I just couldn’t handle it 😂😭😂. Here is darling Aubrie @houseofsmiths darling daughter as Gabby Gabby. The only character I’ve REALLY been creeped out by, didn’t like, felt badly for then loved. So many emotions 😂😂😂. We used @wolfefaceartfx paint on her to create that tiny doll neck then a black cardigan around her shoulders to finish the effect. This isn’t my tippy top best work. This was done through blurry eyes and with a tired brain 😂. But I still loved the idea so much!!! I planned on getting it done before my witches night party at my friend Libby’s but didn’t finish 100%. So what did I do? I went ANYway and wore a witches hat with a veil 😂😂😂. I’ll share in stories. Well, we had such a lovely time we didn’t leave till late and when I got home I still had quite a bit to do. I finished at 2:45 am and groggily took a quick shower and climbed into bed. I’m too old for that 😂. I used to stay up ALL night long, have a few hours of sleep and wake up no problem. Now? Nooooot so much! Ps Christina Ricci will aaaaaalways be the Wednesday Addams in my book. She’s the one I grew up with and her one liners (above) were the best!!! Just using emojis tell me your fave Halloween movie!!!
