Oh my WORD who remembers Lisa Frank? I remember being in jr. high when I first saw Lisa Frank merch. There were stickers all over one girls binder, then another girl had a trapper keeper with the most colorful animals and mythical creatures. It was the COLOR that drew me in and made me want to have aaaaallllll the stickers!!!

This Lisa Frank palette from @morphebrushes is just the ULTIMATE flash back for me and I was so excited to tackle this look. I kept sending Marcos and calling friends showing them because I was so giddy!!! And the fact that TODAY is National Sticker Day is just too perfect!!! Did you collect or own any Lisa Frank? Sew It Would Seam

Everyone has their hobbies, their interests and their talents. Sewing is none of those for me LOL. But I WANT it to be!!!! I have been entranced with the idea of designing and making my own costumes. To be able to do quick sewing fixes for me and my family and to teach my kids how to do the same.

Sew now…see what I did there?…I am making it a resolution to do just that. To learn some basics and maybe even take a class with my oldest. He has gotten into making costumes of all his favorite Avengers and is already showing remarkable and meticulous skills! I think it would be fun to learn and grow together. Here goes nothing!!! If you sew, what basic tools would you recommend starting out with?

Chef Skinner

“The whole thing is HIGHLY suspect!!!” Can I admit something? When Chef Skinner said this in Ratatouille I broke into a fit of laughter. What a funny thing to say! Such a funny combination of words! Must be because English was his second language…..silly man should have said it’s highly suspicious. Theeeen I started hearing it used in this same way in books and in other films. I felt so silly not having known the word “suspect” could be used as an adjective as well as a verb. IIIIIIIIII was the imbecile 😂. I also used to think the Michael Jackson sang “And noooo messes coulda been in my cupboard” (Man in the Mirror 🙈). I thought Freddie Mercury was “kicking my cat all over the place.” Any mishaps like this for you? Realized a song lyric wasn’t what you thought it was? Kept using a word wrong? Spill it!!!!!! Don’t make me feel alone!!! 👇👇👇👇 And doesn’t my cousin Beth look smashing as Chef Skinner??? I was inspired by Audrey Logeasis (a makeup genius!) and the nose almost KILLED me!!!!!😂😂😂

Ice Queen

For the first time in forever she accepted the pain, the hurt, the sorrow. She felt them and let them become apart of her healing. No loger would she suppress them and act as if everyting was fine. She accepted that there would be times of complete joy, warmth and contentment….but there is no progress or growth in the comfort zone. She walked into the cold, knowing it would only be a season, plus….the cold never bothered her anyway.

I’m learning to lean into pain thanks to @simplysadiejane and learning that it makes me stronger. Makes me wiser and helps me teach my children how to get through tough times. I am also SO excited to see Frozen 2!!!!! Who’s already seen it? What do you think of my ice queen? Not a character from the new movie but it was inspired by it for sure ❄.

How is your NY resolution going? I have been feeling pretty okay “ish” about mine 😂. Okay because I’m actually doing it, thinking about it, praying about it. The “ish” because it’s so hard for me to actually let go!!!!! Mariah I think wrote a prophetic song about my struggles of not being able to let go 😉. This look is probably in the top 3 for me Of looks I’ve done. It was so fun and creepy to transform so completely!!!

She was a doll, just a doll….or was she? This was SO much fun to do!!! I even scared my girl @jordanbreee and my cute mom at 11pm with FaceTimes they’ll never forget 😂. I used Mascara for all the gighlights and contouring 😉.

Kev and I went to see Bohemian Rapsody last week with my brother and sister in law. I absolutely loved it!!!!!! I was dancing in my seat for the most of the movie and feeling so sad for Freddie the rest. Chasing happiness and being in from of millions, but feeling very alone. Such a good story and so many memories associated with so many songs. I even wore my Queen shirt to represent 😂.

Boomerang, toomerang, soomerang!!!!!! Who else rembembers this iconic, albeit scary, icon from Mr. Rogers neighborhood? She frightened me a wee bit as a child but honestly, she also made me laugh. I loved how eccentric she was and how she liked to dress up. Being someone who dabbled and continues to dabble in dressing up, I kind of understand her. I can still hear the opening song and the whimsical music that would play during this show. I learned so many lessons from Mr. Rogers and loved how kind he was!!! Are you SO excited for the movie with @tomhanks? I can’t wait!!!!! Also, tomorrow is world kindness day and you’re supposed to wear your favorite cardigan in honor of Mr. Fred Rogers!!!!!!!! We need to DO this!!!!!!!!!!! Did you watch this show growing up? I remember him bringing the actress who played the Wicked Witch of the West in so we would know she was a kind lady in real life (I’m still not sure, that woman scarred me as a child). Did you have a favorite guest or character from the show?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!! I cannot tell you how grateful I have been to have you come and giggle at the transformations this month. I have loved hearing all your comments and having so many new friends here! I am excited for a few movies coming this next week where I can dive into even MORE characters and also get back to our Makeup Monday’s with tips and tricks and reviews. Of course transformations will always be coming but not everyday like October 🥰😅.

I love love LOVE that Kev let me deck him out in the amazing Beetlejuice costume! It even came with a ringed finger in the breast pocket 😂😂😂. A huge shout out to @quirky.calligrapher for letting us use the costumes and to my kids for helping us with pictures in the cemetery. I just taped a segment this morning on channel 4’s Good Things Utha and now am off to carnivals, work parties and trick or treating. Have a fun and safe Halloween everyone!!!!!
