It has been really hot here lately and I
have LoVeD basking in the sunlight. I get super tan in the summer and
reeeaaalllly white in the winter time. I have always loved my how my
makeup looks on my tan skin so much more so TIME to play!!! I wanted to
accentuate my newly (and only lightly) tanned skin with a bit of
smolder. I wore this look to a recent baby shower and one of the goers
asked me to do a tutorial on it =). Enjoy!

OH MY WORD!!!!!!! I have to tell you about the sweetest most AMAZING girl that I know!!!!!! This is Amy. I met her when my husband and I were dating and I instantly fell in love with her! She is so happy, optimistic, selfless, caring. ambitious and just an all around good person. I know we would all say that there was just no one worthy of her and sadly she would have to settle and go out with awful people who just would break her poor heart. One boy that she had dated for 6 years and waited for for TWO years on his mission finally came home, met her roommate and fell in love with HER! Can you even imagine? She NEVER faltered in her optimism though!!! She knew that her father in Heaven would provide if she would just stick it out and do what was right. I was able to serve a mission for my church out in Siberia and I think one of the BIGGEST compliments I have EVER gotten were when two girls (one of them being Amy) told me that my testimony of my Savior when I returned was the reason they decided to serve. It always brings me to tears when I think about it. Well fast forward a few years, 5 to be exact, and in walks Derek, the sweetest guy ever who has gone through his own trials. Because of health problems unknown to him he struggled with severe weight gain and depression. He was finally told he had a life threatening brain tumor. What a scary experience that must have been! I am so glad that they have found each other but due to a failed business, major medical bills and student loans they are in so much debt and can’t have their fairytale wedding. I WANT TO HELP!!!!!!!!! Would you help me help them? They have entered a contest that will give them a HUGE wedding and I can’t see any other couple deserving it like they do. Will you help? The more that I learn about makeup and the way our skin reacts to it the more I am wanting to take the plunge into “all things good for me”. I must admit though it is a LOT harder to commit when SO many great brands aren’t the best for us. It’s so hard not to choose the makeup that performs well over the mediocre makeup that is good for my skin. I used to be SO obsessed with getting all the magazines I could from the drugstore and reading every single word in there. I would pour over who was dating whom, what people were wearing, what their bodies were looking like those days and just loving all the gossip. Slowly but surely I noticed a dissatisfaction with who I was dating (didn’t measure up to the “perfect movie guy”), what I was wearing and for SURE what my body looked like! When I finally realized (with the help of a loving hubby) maybe it was because I was constantly comparing myself to these seemingly perfect people I decided to take action {heeYAW!} I quit my subscriptions and I stopped buying them in the store for a month straight (baby steps right?) IT WAS SO HARD!!!! Silly you may think that it would be but it SO was!!! I found myself saying, oh but I just need this one for the pictures, look there is a look I need to do! Needless to say, with a few slip ups, I have stayed strong ; ). Do I still love to see pretty pictures? SURE! But I can grab Vogue or InStyle for an occasionally flip through. On a recent trip to Walmart my hubby saw a small picture on the cover of US magazine and was
like,”Jen, this is your next look.” =) I figured after three years of not buying on a regular basis I could deal with just one and I DO love it! (Cue Full House type music cuz here comes the moral of the story) remember to love who you are and NOT what society wants you to be. I myself have a problem with this but the more I talk about it the more I will realize that it’s something to combat. Be happy with your size and instead of trying to be stick thin {yuck!} be StRoNg!!! Be healthy and be original. Speaking of original watch me copy Katy Perry now LOL!!! Remember to watch it in HD.
I am so excited that not only did I find Sigma, fell in LOVE with the brushes and bargains, the fact that they became a sponsor here on Classy but now they are ADDING even MORE new products and launching new permanent brushes!!!! It’s enough to make any makeup girl *sQuEaL* with delight….sorry to my neighbors ; ). I just got two new brushes in the mail and busted them out just as soon as I could and did a review on one of them. You all know that my MAC 187 bit it BIG time and so I was in the market for a new one. Rather than spend $42 {gag} I hit up my Sigma store and got this F80 bad boy for $16!!!!! Here are my thoughts and me using it for the very first time. I noticed, looking back, that I kept using it over and over and over my face and to be honest, the brush was SO stinkin soft I didn’t want to stop LOL!!!!! =)

Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki (F80)
– This brush turned out to be the majority of everyone’s go-to
foundation brush for its ability to evenly buff on foundation for a

Large Powder (F30)
